Double Row Roller Seal Ring

A beautiful 18ct yellow gold Roller Seal ring decorated with a double row of fantastical creatures and finished with a molten gold edge.

Our roller seals are a mixture of Sumerian (approx. 3500BC) and Sassanian (350AD).

The picture story is engraved onto hard stone cylinders, which were then rolled onto wet clay as an impression, usually as a form of signature or confirmation of receipt. They often told a story about a specific time or civilisation.
