King Edward IV Gold Ryal Coin Pin


A stunning 18ct yellow gold pin, featuring a superb gold 'Ryal' coin of Edward IV (1461 - 1470 AD). At each diagonal are square plinths set with round, brilliant-cut diamonds. To the top and sides are set oval mabé cultured pearls, and at the base is a large flourite bead. Edward IV Gold Ryal 1461-1470AD 1st Reign. The ryal or rose noble was first issued by Edward IV in 1465 in place of the debased noble of Henry IV having a similar design to the noble with a rose added. It had a value of ten shillings.
